Dear Friends,
As we celebrate the season of Easter and enjoy the blessings of Spring, we are so grateful for new life and a spirit of hope. The torrential rains of winter are replenishing reservoirs and ground water while families begin to recover from storms and floods. And while community needs remain high after the pandemic, we are blessed with an abundance of generous donors who have responded to the needs and are making a difference in the lives of thousands of families in Santa Clara Valley.
At the same time, we still see thousands of cars lined up every week as people seek to feed their hungry families with groceries at drive-through food distributions at parishes, Family Resource Centers and our neighborhood centers. The need for food has increased to a level as high as the worst of the pandemic, with over 21,000 being fed each month, due to families facing inflation and the high cost of housing.
Yet, funding has not kept up with the need. We encourage our faithful donors to step up once again and invest through Catholic Charities so we can feed the hungry in our community. By helping families get through this crisis and back on their feet, your investment will truly change lives for good.
