Assistance for Adult Inmates

The Inmate Supportive Services (ISS) at the two adult correctional facilities – Main and Elmwood Jails – respond to inmate requests for books, eye glasses, notary services, probation-required legal documents, requests for family contacts, family requests for information or items for the inmates, information from community/other legal services, resource information, and educational opportunities. The ISS staff members have regular schedules at the respective jail sites to respond to requests from inmates and corrections officers. Volunteers are critical to the success of the ISS services.

Information For Book Delivery

• All books for inmates must be purchased, packaged, and shipped to Catholic Charities Inmate Support Services Program from a qualified online bookseller (such as Amazon or Barnes and Noble) or any bookseller that will ship.

• Books brought to our office will not be delivered.
