Catholic Charities has a long history of welcoming refugees and immigrants. As our community prepares to welcome Afghan arrivals, Catholic Charities offers supportive services to those who do not immediately quality for resettlement benefits or need assistance post-resettlement. Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Immigration Legal Services

    Our Immigration Legal Services team can support with family visa petitions, SIV applications, Humanitarian Parole, Adjustment of Status, and citizenship applications. Contact: 408-468-0100.

  • Catholic Charities John XXIII Gardner Healthcare Clinic

    Free primary healthcare, pharmacy assistance, and COVID-19 vaccine distribution. No medical insurance required. Multilanguage interpreters available from 8am – 12pm Monday-Friday. Walk-ins available. Located at: 195 E. San Fernando St., San Jose.

  • Employment Network

    Provides full scope employment services which includes individualized Employment Preparation, Job Development, assistance with Job Search, Job Placement, and Job Retention. Contact: 408-325-5285. Location: 2625 Zanker Road, San Jose.

  • Free Food Distribution

    Free food for families via Drive Thru sites. No registration needed beforehand. Contact 1-800-984-3663.

    • Every Wednesday: 2-4 pm. St. John Vianney, 4600 Hyland Ave, San Jose

    • Every Friday: 10am-12pm. St. Lucy, 2350 S. Winchester Blvd., Campbell

    • Every Saturday: 12-2pm. Santa Teresa Parish, 794 Calero Ave, San Jose

    • Every 2nd & 4th Fridays: 2-4pm. St. Maria Goretti Parish, 2980 Senter Rd., San Jose

    • Every 2nd & 4th Saturday: 10am-12pm. St. Athanasius, 160 North Rengstorff Ave., Mountain View

  • Parish Engagement

    Trauma-informed trained volunteers provide accompaniment services to residents of Santa Clara County in need of service navigation, rental/mortgage assistance, mental and physical help. Contact: 408-516-6037. Location: 2165 Lucretia Ave., San Jose.

  • Refugee Foster Care

    Provides foster care services to eligible unaccompanied refugee & immigrant minors. Contact: 866-842-1467
