Job Description:
RLEI Case Manager is an outreach and support position designed to inform and assist the users of the program with their request for support to resolve neighborhood issues generated by irresponsible property management either by landlords or owner occupied properties.


• Outreach to present RLEI
• Schedule appointments and program presentations
• Facilitates field meetings
• Perform case assessment
• Keep precise and organized records of cases
• Submits case data to Program Assistant for filing
• Respond to inquiries from the users/complainants
• Maintain open communication with assigned city representative and peace officer (Council liaison, police officer, code enforcement )


1) Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field with at least three years of experience working with community organizations.
• Ability to utilize a variety of leadership styles to diplomatically, effectively, and creatively facilitate teams of diverse individuals and organizations. Demonstrated perceptiveness, patience, and emotional maturity are necessary characteristics.
• Attention to detail across multiple, simultaneous projects. The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, changing non-profit office
• Computer skills using Windows Office platform
• Detail oriented
• Team oriented
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus

2) Experience required:
• 3 years’ experience in non-profit community building and engagement positions

3) Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 25 pounds

4) General
• Valid California driver’s license and personal transportation
• Liability insurance according to agency requirements

Hiring Range: Contingent on education, experience and language skills
