Position Overview

CCSCC seeks an evaluation associate to help our team track and report the outcomes of our programs and services. Supervised by our Client Information Manager, the evaluation associate works closely with the agency’s IT Director and Chief Operations Officer, a nationally recognized evaluation expert, to implement an agency-wide evaluation design currently in development and a key goal in our agency-wide strategic plan. Although helping to implement the agency-wide outcomes evaluation, the position also will assist with special evaluation projects required by various funders as directed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Catholic Charities is working closely with the Franklin McKinley School District in San Jose to deliver Prevention & Early Intervention (PEI) Services in partnership with the Mental Health Department. Employing evidence-based practices, PEI services are targeting high-risk youth and their families with the goal of preventing, reducing, and eliminating mental health issues that may be inhibiting academic success and family wellness. The Behavior Specialist supports PEI by engaging families in services aimed at addressing behavioral issues through educational workshops and sessions, and behavior support planning service in the home and in the community, connecting students and families to resources that will reduce/eliminate nonproductive and violent behaviors. Extensive training will be provided.

Program Description

Refugee Foster Care (a Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County program) supports refugee and immigrant children who have separated from their families because of war, persecution, and trafficking. We place these unaccompanied youth into loving homes all over the Bay Area and provide support and advocacy for the youth in many different areas of their lives. These areas include, but not limited to: school, mental and physical health, the legal system, acculturation, staying connected with their own culture, and independent living skills.

Translators and Interpreters play a crucial role in the resettlement process by bridging linguistic and cultural gaps between the youth, program staff, and vendors.
