Eastside Neighborhood Center

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(There also are special evening/weekend classes and programs.)

Eastside Neighborhood Center is located in the heart of East San Jose, considered one of the poorest areas in Santa Clara County. The majority of the participants are very low-income Latino and Filipino seniors. Many of them face economic, language, educational, and cultural barriers. For over forty years, Eastside Neighborhood Center has provided them with educational, recreational, wellness, nutritional, and social services.

Who is eligible?
ENC is as inclusive as possible. Almost 90% of participants are seniors. There are no special criteria needed to access our services with two exceptions:
- The Nutrition Program has an age requirement of 60 years for a subsidized lunch (County funding requirement)
- SALA (Senior Adults Legal Assistance) has an age requirement of 60 years
Is there a waiting list?
No. However, individual services such as case management and counseling do have a waiting list
Are there any fees?
- Center services and programs are free
- Senior social clubs charge a nominal fee

The Senior Nutrition program/11:00 am meal has a suggested donation of $2.50

English, Spanish, Tagalog

- Computer Class assistants
- Citizenship Class assistants
