Internships at Catholic Charities

Behavioral Health

The Catholic Charities Behavioral Health Internship Program introduces students to the important role clinical and therapeutic work plays in ensuring a healthy and safe life in the community for everyone.

The Behavioral Health division offers outpatient clinical services to clients of all ages and non-clinical services to adults ages 18+. Interns gain practical experience through projects, direct client engagement, case management, treatment plans, assessments, diagnosing mental health disorders, community engagement, and best practices in the prevention and intervention treatment of substance misuse and mental illness.

Interns will use their specific skills and knowledge while experiencing the value of their education from August 2023-May 2024 at Catholic Charities' multiple locations (hybrid schedule) in Santa Clara County. Each intern will work collaboratively with the guidance and supervision of a Catholic Charities clinical licensed manager or supervisor.
